Allavaru calls for a balanced seat-sharing in Grand alliance

Patna, Sep 6 (UNI) Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru today said that talks within the opposition alliance over seat-sharing were moving in a positive direction, but emphasised on the need for balance and urged all partners to sacrifice to accommodate all partners.
Allavaru told news persons here that discussions had been held on several issues, including seat sharing for the upcoming elections. “The talks have been positive. The exact number of seats has not been finalised yet because new partners also need to be adjusted. When new partners are brought in, everyone has to make some sacrifices,” he remarked.
He further underlined the importance of fairness in seat allocation, stating that all parties in the alliance should share both winnable and weaker seats. “There should be a balance in the distribution of strong and weak constituencies. It should not happen that one party is left only with weak seats while another takes all the good ones. Our effort is to ensure seat-sharing in a balanced manner,” Allavaru added.
The Grand Alliance in Bihar is engaged in crucial negotiations to finalise its strategy ahead of the polls.
